Privacy Policy

UniTracker (“we”, “us”) helps international students organize their applications to German universities. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Account data. Your name, email address, and password hash when you register.
Application data. The universities, programs, deadlines, statuses, notes, and reminders you enter while using the product.
Documents.Files you upload (transcripts, CVs, letters) are stored privately and are only accessible from your account. If you use CV import, the file you provide is processed by Google’s Gemini API solely to extract the fields shown back to you; we do not use it for anything else.
Analytics. We use self-hosted, cookieless Plausible analytics. It collects aggregate page-view counts and no personal identifiers.
Cookies
We set HttpOnly authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your data
To run the product: showing your dashboard, sending the reminder and digest emails you configure, and improving reliability. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We rely on infrastructure providers to operate: hosting for the application and database, Sanity for public guide content, Google Gemini for optional CV parsing, and an email delivery provider for notifications you request. Each receives only what is necessary for its function.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your applications, documents, and profile from our systems. You can also delete individual documents and applications at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email us and we will help: m.sheheryarraza@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new “last updated” date.
