|---|---|
| 1 program | €75 |
| 2 programs | €105 |
| 3 programs | €135 |
| 4 programs | €165 |
| 5 programs | €195 |
| 6 programs | €225 |
| 7 programs | €255 |
| 8 programs | €285 |
Uni-assist charges a handling fee of €75 for the first course of study in your application, and €30 for each additional course you apply to within the same application semester. The fee is charged once you submit your application, per semester, and it is non-refundable, meaning it applies regardless of whether you are admitted or rejected.
The VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) procedure, which some universities require instead of a full uni-assist application, follows the exact same €75/€30 fee schedule. See our step-by-step guide to applying via uni-assist and VPD for the full process. A VPD also states your grade converted to the German 1.0–5.0 scale - estimate yours with our German grade calculator.
Not every application goes through paid uni-assist processing. Some universities waive the handling fee and cover it themselves, and others accept direct applications that bypass uni-assist entirely. Neither of these routes should be counted in the calculator above, since only programs processed through uni-assist (standard or VPD) incur the fee.
Uni-assist charges a handling fee of €75 for the first program you apply to in an application semester, plus €30 for each additional program in the same application. For example, applying to 5 programs costs €75 + 4 × €30 = €195. The fee is non-refundable and is charged regardless of the admission decision.
A VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) uses the same €75 first / €30 additional handling-fee schedule as a standard uni-assist application. A VPD is a document uni-assist issues confirming your eligibility and your converted German grade. Some universities require applicants to submit a VPD instead of going through a full uni-assist application.
€30 for every application after the first, which costs €75. The fee counts applications, not universities: two programs at the same university are two applications and two fees. Three universities with one program each costs €135.
Yes. The fee is charged per application semester. If you apply again for the summer intake after a winter round, the count resets and your first application is €75 again.
No. The handling fee covers the cost of processing your application and is charged regardless of whether you are admitted, rejected, or withdraw your application.
By card or by bank transfer to uni-assist's German account. From Pakistan a card is the practical option: an international transfer takes several days and carries bank charges, and uni-assist only starts processing once the money has arrived.
Some universities waive the uni-assist handling fee and pay it on behalf of applicants, and others accept direct applications outside the uni-assist system entirely, which are free. Check each program's admission page to see which route applies.
